The creative forms division will be separated from the traditional / open division. The major difference is that creative forms will be allowed to incorporate non-traditional martial arts movements including gymnastics elements.
What constitutes a non-traditional martial arts movement? In short, if it’s not taught as an effective striking, blocking or evasive maneuver in a traditional martial arts school, it’s a creative movement. Even one creative movement in a form means it should be performed in the creative division.
If your form will include any weapon, it belongs in the creative weapons divisions.
There will be no music permitted in any divisions other than demonstrations, including Creative Weapons. No other objects beyond the utilized weapon are permitted – no props, partners, fire, smoke, etc.
