Open traditional forms kataThe Open / Traditional forms division is the division that most people are used to in competition. This division includes a) traditional forms that are taught in martial arts schools b) gently adjusted versions of those forms and c) created traditional-style forms.

If your form includes any movements that are not considered part of a traditional martial arts curriculum, they do not belong in this division

Forms will be judged based on balance, power, speed, technique, realism and a variety of other factors. Forms are not judged based on accuracy to the way they are taught in any school, including any school that the competitor trains at.
